A rooftop rooted in Dublin’s past, reimagined for its future.
DÍON sits atop a landmark designed in the 1970s by Sam Stephenson, one of only ~20 buildings worldwide built from the top down, its floors hung from the roof by 168 Macalloy bars. Once home to Ireland’s Central Bank, the tower has been restored and opened to the city for the first time. Today, DÍON brings a new purpose to this iconic rooftop: to showcase the very best of Irish hospitality, warm, intuitive, and world‑class, in a setting that lifts Dublin and everyone in it.
OUR WHY
Dublin has no shortage of international brands. Polished, impressive, and often interchangeable. But none of them do Irish hospitality the way we do: warm, intuitive, generous, and grounded in genuine welcome.

This rooftop is our chance to put Irish hospitality on a global footing. To show that we can match the world’s great venues not by copying them, but by being unmistakably ourselves.

THE NAME & VISION
DÍON means “roof” in Irish. A sanctuary, a shelter, a simple word with a sense of place built into it.
It’s a nod to where we stand, high above the city, and to the feeling we want to create: a shift in perspective, a moment of lift, a night that unfolds at its own pace.
DÍON is a rooftop restaurant and bar shaped by warm hospitality, confident cooking, and an atmosphere that feels both elevated and easy. A place to start the night with a drink, settle into dinner, and stay long after the plates are cleared.
